Privacy Policy
In short: GarbaSathi collects only your name, email address, phone number and precise location, and uses them only to run the app. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
1About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the GarbaSathi mobile application for Android and iOS (the "App", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2Information we collect
We collect only the following information, and nothing else:

We do not collect your contacts, photos, files, messages, payment or card details, health data, device advertising ID, or browsing history.
3Location permission
- The App asks for your permission before accessing your precise location. You can allow or deny it.
- Location is used only for the App's features and is not used for advertising or profiling.
- You can turn location access off at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings → Apps → GarbaSathi → Permissions; iOS: Settings → GarbaSathi → Location). Some features may not work without it.
4How we use your information
- To create, manage and secure your account.
- To provide and improve the App's features.
- To communicate with you about your account or important changes to the App.
- To comply with applicable laws.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell, rent or trade it to anyone.
5Sharing of information
We do not share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Service providers that host and operate the App's servers and database on our behalf. They may only process your data to provide these services to us and must keep it secure and confidential.
- Legal reasons, when required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
6Data storage and security
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on secured servers with access limited to authorised people. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
7Data retention
We keep your information only while your account is active or as long as needed to provide the App. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
8Your rights and account deletion
You can at any time:
- View and update your name, email and phone number in the App.
- Withdraw location permission from your device settings.
- Request a copy of your data, or correction of inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and all associated data, from within the App where available, or by emailing us at the address below with the subject "Delete my GarbaSathi account" from your registered email.
We will respond to your request within 30 days. These rights apply under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India) and other applicable laws.
9Children's privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Where required by law, users under 18 should use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you inside the App.
